The Election Commission of India will be announcing the date and schedule for the much-awaited Delhi assembly elections today. As per the latest inputslodibet, the announcement will be made during a press conference later in the day at 2 PM.
This was announced by FIH President Tayyab Ikram who said: "Giving more opportunities to play to a larger and more diverse number of National Associations is one of the key pillars of our empowerment and engagement strategy."
Currently, the Indian team is at fourth position in the points tally.
Delhi is set to head to the polls across all 72 constituencies likely in the month of February. Early elections were called for the national capital after AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal stepped down from his role as Chief Minister following his release from Tihar Jail.

For the 2025 elections, it's a three-way fight between the BJP, Aam Aadmi Party and Congress.
The AAP-Congress alliance rumours were dismissed once Kejriwal announced that the incumbent party would be fighting the polls solo.
All three parties have released their candidate lists for the elections across the 70 assembly constituencies.
From AAP, top party leaders Arvind Kejriwal, Atishi, Satyendra Kumar Jain, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Amanatullah Khan are in the fray for the assembly polls this year.
Strategically, the incumbent party's first list include names of six turncoats from the BJP - Brahm Singh Tanwar, Anil Jha, and BB Tyagi and former Congress leaders Chaudhry Zubair Ahmad, Veer Dhingan and Sumesh Shokeen.
From the BJP, senior leaders such as Ramesh Bidhuri, former West Delhi MP Parvesh Sahib Singh and former AAP minister Kailash Gehlot are in the fray.
Meanwhile, Congress has named Alka Lambalodibet, ex-MP Sandeep Dikshit, ex-Delhi minister Haroon Yusuf and others in its fight for the capital.
